Toddler Interview

I saw a neat idea circling the blogosphere at the start of the year to have a little interview with your child and record the responses for posterity.  I've been pretty lazy at getting around to it, but we finally did it this morning and it was hilarious!  I love that I'll be able to look back at this and get a little glimpse of what was running through her head at this age.  I think we'll do this again next year and compare answers. 

What’s your name? M-- big girl  (She has to clarify she's a big girl as opposed to her little brother).

How old are you?  I am two

How old is brother? How old is brother – he is 3

He’s 3?  I don’t think so, I think he’s 1: Oh, he IS one

How old is momma?  You are 30?  No, you are 4. 

How old is daddy?  He is almost 3

What’s your favorite food? It’s from breakfast – stuffing (I mixed her morning scrambled eggs w/ a bit of leftover stuffing last week and she hasn't been able to stop talking about it!)

Whats your favorite color? purple (she happens to be wearing purple and holding a purple cup)

What’s your favorite movie?  Pingu!  (no thought at all!)

What’s your favorite toy?  Which toy do you like playing with the most?  Um, the vegetables. 

In your play kitchen?  Mmm-hmm

What’s your favorite book?  My Dora book.  It’s up there.  I want some goldfish!  (Ah how easily she is distracted by the sight of her snack cup.)

What’s your favorite snack?  My favorite snack is my cheese stick?

How old is my, my, my, my what kind of thing do I have, need, have, need, and what does I want?

(This is the point she tries to make up her own question but gets a little off track.  Silly girl.)

What’s your favorite thing to play on the iPad?  The birds 

The angry birds?  yeah, the Angry Birds (I'll have you know we have TONS of educational games.  Can't say that I blame her though!)

What’s your favorite animal? It’s a zebra

This is as far as we got before she was distracted by breakfast, but I had alot of fun taking a peek inside her mind!
